Dinner: leafy Boston lettuce with chunks of vine tomato, frozen corn and fresh cilantro, and slivered almonds, vinegar and oil (Italian) Good Seasons dressing

Lunch: lamb shwarma on a pita with tomato and onion, @Jerusalem on Snyder. Dessert: vanilla soft frozen yogurt w strawberries and choc sauce, @Sweet Endings

Dinner: Chinese feast

Oyster sauce meatballs; shrimp in fish-sauce with basil; chicken and black mushrooms; ban-ban chicken (cold shredded chicken and thin sliced cucumber over rice noodles with a peanutty sauce); ma po tofu; string beans with pork; broccoli with cashew nuts; and more. 10 entrees total, not counting appetizers, with brownies for dessert.

Side: steamed frozen sweet peas and golden corn, butter.

Lunch: raw beef and raw egg bi bim bop at So Moon Nan Jip in Palisades, NJ

Lunch: shrimp and sweet corn salad with mache and tomatoes and mozzarella, Bouchon Bakery at Time Warner building.

Lunch: fresh turkey with basil pesto, lettuce tomato cucumber and a squeeze of guac on a farmer's roll, @Au Bon Pain. Not cheap but they make a *good* sandwich.

Early dinner: lobster salad sandwich on multigrain with sliced tomato and lettuce from Cosi. Worth the price premium. Yum!

Thought: the converse of Trust is Control. As in, because I have no ___, I must use ___ instead.

Snack: Snyder of Hanover's pretzels (snaps, these cute little square waffle-like variety) mixed with like quantity of roasted unsalted peanuts.

Shrimp and mango salad with lime dressing, and porcini lasagna. @JEC's place. Seared tuna taco with avocado at Jones. Repeat, and an emerging theme.
